Details: ACT NoWaste is unique in recycling and waste management in Australia: we work across both state/territory and local government-level functions, which provides opportunities to deliver sustainable services to the ACT community and influence and contribute efforts to improve waste management outcomes at local, regional, and national levels.
The Senior Director Policy, Regulation and Partnerships fulfils a key role in the delivery of waste management outcomes for the Territory and operates under the broad direction of the Executive Branch Manager. The position works as part of the ACT NoWaste leadership team and oversees the waste policy, regulation, and engagement programs, with three direct reports.
It is a dynamic, challenging, and diverse role with responsibility for supporting the Executive Branch Manager in driving the Territory’s strategic recycling and waste minimisation goals.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of three months, with the possibility of extension. Selection may be based on application only and a merit pool may be established to fill temporary positions over the next 12 months. This position has moved to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only.
