We have a part-time opportunity available, 32 hours per fortnight.

Vision Hospital Group (VHG) comprises 11 day surgeries across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia. At our day surgeries, you will find friendly, highly experienced administrative and specialist theatre teams, led by an on-site Director of Nursing.

The opportunity and a bit about us 

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse to join our passionate team at our Footscray Day Surgery on a part-time basis. 

In your role, you would be responsible for deliveringexceptional clinical skills in scrub/scout and can demonstrate a commitment to quality patient care.

Footscray Day Surgery is an accredited, purpose-built facility for ophthalmic surgery. The day surgery features state-of-the-art equipment and technology to support the latest surgical techniques, optimise patient outcomes and ensure patient comfort at all times.

About You:

You have perioperative experience, preferably in ophthalmology (though not mandatory). You are a passionate team player, focused on person-centered care, who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic team environment.

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • 2-3 years of perioperative experience
  • Commitment to quality patient care
  • Compliance with ACQSHC national standards
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Keen to learn in other areas such as Admission, Anaesthetics, and recovery
  • Working with Children’s Check and a recent Police Check
  • COVID vaccination certification and immunisation history
