We’re seeking a dynamic Communications Lead to shape and execute compelling communication strategies for our agency and our diverse client base. This role demands a skilled storyteller with experience across multiple channels, a knack for stakeholder management and a passion for mentoring a team of communications professionals. What you’ll be doing:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive communications and content plans that align with clients’ goals.
  • Day-to-day management: Manage Orange Line’s Communications team comprised of four content, social and digital PR specialists & long-term external contractors.
  • Sourcing specialist contractors: Source the best talent to work alongside Orange Line’s internal team where required
  • Representing the communications team: Be the face of the comms team in key client meetings, for example, Strategy & Proposal meetings
  • Agency marketing: Assist with the planning, development and implementation of Orange Line’s communication plans across PR & social media
  • Creating engaging content strategies: Create products for our clients across a range of channels, including web content, social media, email marketing and PR.
  • Mentoring: Oversee, coach, lead and develop team members to provide a quality service to our clients
Skills, experience and qualifications:

Required

  • A degree in marketing, communications, journalism, PR or similar
  • At least seven years of experience in the marketing/comms space
  • A proven track record of successfully managing teams
  • Client-side experience in either B2C or B2B industries
  • Hands-on experience creating content strategies and crafting compelling content
  • Excellent writing and editing skills across diverse formats and styles
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have several of these things (but we are not looking for a unicorn who has excellence in all of these things)

  • Deep knowledge of social media strategies and how to craft social media content for brands
  • Experience in both traditional PR and digital PR
  • Experience crafting email marketing strategies
  • Experience with event marketing
