About the role
Our client is an iconic FMCG leader whose products are found in most households across Australia. In this influential leadership position, you will be a capable and motivated leader who has experience working in a FMCG business that is fast-paced where your analytical skills, business partnering and passion for commercial pricing drives profitability and growth.
As a Commercial Pricing Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing pricing strategies that maximize revenue and profitability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze market trends, assess competitor pricing, and develop pricing models that align with our business objectives. Additionally, you will manage trade spend and ensure optimal return on investment for promotional activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute pricing strategies for our diverse product portfolio.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform pricing decisions.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure pricing aligns with overall business strategies.
- Monitor and analyse pricing performance and make recommendations for adjustments.
- Manage trade spend budgets, track promotional effectiveness, and optimize trade promotions.
- Provide insights and recommendations on pricing and promotional strategies to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with pricing governance and company policies.
- Utilize FMCG-specific tools and software for pricing and promotional analysis.
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Qualified CA / CPA.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing management, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in pricing and trade spend management software and tools, as well as advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with trade promotion management (TPM) and trade promotion optimization (TPO) systems is a plus.
