The current mine site locations are in the Northeastern Goldfields of WA, with multiple mining operations both open pit and underground. Job Description

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Short Term Planner provides effective planning and scheduling for all of the activities for Tradespersons and Technicians (including Contractors) and ancillary personnel, within the process plant. This is a FIFO role, working on an 8:6 roster.

About the Role

  • Provide proactive leadership to the planning and reliability team, including contracting partners
  • Develop and participate in planning and scheduling of preventative and corrective maintenance activities inclusive of short term and shutdown activities
  • Participate in the development of strategies for mechanical maintenance activities
  • Report on established maintenance KPI’s to identify potential improvement areas for the planning team and maintenance teams
  • Participate in a housekeeping campaign to ensure a high standard is maintained in the mechanical workshop, operational areas, offices and crib rooms
  • Display and uphold a safety-first culture, while constantly looking for ways to improve ESG
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with senior leadership
Desired Skills and Experience

About You

  • Relevant mechanical Trade or mechanical Engineering qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, within a fixed plant mining environment
  • Experience in Maintenance master data Pronto or similar, highly regarded
  • Competent user of MS Project, MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills at all levels
  • Effective planning and organising skills with the ability to deliver on simultaneous projects with competing priorities
