The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and implementing critical strategic projects to deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

To be successful in this role, the applicant must have proven project management skills; the ability to lead with focus in an environment of complexity and ambiguity; high-level communication skills to coordinate across multiple projects and areas of work; and the ability to execute high quality results, on time.

  • Lead in the development, coordination and implementation of critical and multiple strategic projects aligned to HWQld's vision and strategic direction.
  • Apply appropriate project management methods and leadership skills to plan, establish project objectives, procure project needs (such as materials, teams, resources), manage and provide oversight of complex projects and activities
  • Ensure project objectives are delivered to a high quality, on time.
  • Initiate, influence and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and other external partners, facilitating effective communication channels to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Provide regular and appropriate updates and advice on the progress of critical strategic projects suitable for the HWQld Executive and Leadership teams, broader staff and external audiences.
  • Manage critical and multiple projects for the Director, Policy as and when required.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout HWQld, including consistent approaches for identifying, developing, and promoting innovation across the organisation
