RoleSummary:
The LeadElectrical and Reliability Engineer is a newly created opportunityin our Thermal Asset Optimisation team based at our Perth CBDoffice.
This rolewill engage and work with the site teams within Synergy to developstrategies and provide recommendations to identify and manage risk,to continuously improve the reliability and performance of ourcurrent and future generation assets, optimise operations, andexecute projects.
Keyresponsibilities of the role include:
- Facilitate ThermalGenerations asset management post Synergy decarbonisationstrategy release – Optimising our portfolio to meet ourdecarbonisation targets and strategy.
- Leadelectrical and power generation risk identification andmanagement of our existing and new power generationassets.
- Leaddefect elimination investigations, root cause analysis,management of change – technical and operationalreadiness processes.
- Lead andoperationalise the Generator Performance Standards for ourexisting and new power generation assets.
- Evolveand mature our Asset Performance Framework and recommend costeffective improvements to improve our reliability, efficiency,and flexibility.
- Preparescope of works for contractors, lead business case preparationand manage project progress.
Whatyou’ll bring:
- Relevanttertiary engineering qualification in relevantfield
- Eligiblefor Chartered Membership of Engineers Australia.
- 10+years of Engineering or operational experience in open cyclegas turbine, combined cycle gas turbine or coal fired thermalpower generation plant and systems.
- Electrical Protection,Arc flash and power system design and problem solvingfundamentals
- ProcessSafety and risk assessment skills
