Join Australasia’s leading advisor and innovator in water, wastewater, and odour control solutions. The Company provides end to end solutions for a wide range of environmental sewerage and water infrastructure systems including large scale developments, councils, water authorities and extensive retail and channel partners. With over 30+ years of local and international experience in developing and building innovative water and wastewater solutions, the Company is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team in QLD.
In this role you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient delivery of projects across QLD and Northern NSW. This will involve the scheduling of projects and labour resources (both internal and external), consistently and meticulously liaising with clients to ensure project timelines and construction programs are being met to clients’ expectations. You will be involved in: documentation, working through technical and commercial matters, monitoring procurement and fabrication including pre-assembly / quality, ensuring buildability for installation and fitting off of the civil and mechanical equipment, testing and commissioning, compliance, rectification of issues, preparation of variations & claims, post project review, reporting, and adherence to all company site processes and procedures (including safety) with the technical site teams and subcontractors etc.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate / possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management (Construction based)
- 3 – 5 years’ experience with complex projects in the water industry OR similar process industries.
- Experience in end-to-end project engineering, managing of projects and the project delivery team – preferably within the Civil / building industry.
- Knowledge in the water and wastewater industry (familiarity with WSAA codes, MRWA and SEQ specifications is preferred)
- Ability to review civil site layouts, cross-sections, long-sections etc.
- Great people management and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute - work collaboratively with multiple teams across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- IT literate ie Excel, Microsoft Project, or with scheduling / project management programs / tools, ie Primavera P6, equivalent Ghant Chart programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use your initiative, be commercially savvy, practical and results focused.
- Team player. Collaborative working style.
