Job Title: Senior Energy & Carbon Consultant

Location: Sydney, NSW

Role: Full time - Hybrid flexibility

JD Ross Energy have partnered with a leading energy and carbon advisory who are committed to helping businesses achieve their energy and carbon reduction goals. They specialise in providing innovative solutions to large emitters in various exciting sectors such as agriculture, food and beverage, and industrial manufacturing.

As a result of successful growth, they are seeking a dynamic and experience senior consultant to join their team. You will play a pivotal role in advising their clients on energy efficiency, carbon reduction strategies and sustainability practices in the industrial sector.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' operations to identify energy efficiency opportunities.
  • Complete type 1, 2, 3 energy audits autonomously from end-to-end.
  • Provide efficient feedback to clients on energy management, carbon emissions reductions and sustainability methods.
  • Develop and implement strategic, practical strategies to optimise energy and carbon.
  • Lead and manage projects, providing mentorship to junior consultants.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory developments related to energy and carbon management.

About you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant industry i.e. Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental or Energy.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar energy & carbon consulting position.
  • Excellent communication skills with previous client facing experience.
  • Understanding of carbon reporting/carbon crediting frameworks.
  • Proven experience providing energy efficiency and sustainability solutions for clients within the industrial sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and insights.
  • Have a passion for the industry and decarbonising the world.
