About the role
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Risk, Governance, and Compliance, you will assume a pivotal role by actively engaging and collaborating with stakeholders across all areas of the business to support the implementation of our risk management framework, foster a robust culture of risk and compliance awareness, and drive the implementation of associated activities.

What are some of your key responsibilities?

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of internal controls, as well as enhancing risk mitigation and compliance practices.
  • Evaluate and enhance internal controls to ensure the integrity of our business operations, focusing on areas such as data privacy, cybersecurity, and operational compliance.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for business inquiries regarding risk and compliance related matters, including breaches etc., while also providing valuable advice and input on these issues.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts across all business areas to develop, maintain, and implement tailored policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining risk and compliance documentation and associated registers. 
  • Monitor compliance activities and analyse data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicating, reporting, and presenting on risk & compliance-related tasks via multiple mediums. 
  • Assisting in the development, preparation, and facilitation of employee training sessions.
  • Stay abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and industry best practices to continuously improve the effectiveness of the compliance program.

What do you need to be successful in your application?

  • 5+ years of experience leading risk and compliance activities.
  • Proven experience in corporate compliance, regulatory affairs, or a similar role within a non-financial industry.
  • A comprehensive understanding of risk and compliance principles, along with the ability to analyse and interpret best practices and frameworks. 
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to raise awareness and drive change. 
  • Significant critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, effectively manage your time, and evaluate/address shifting priorities and conflicting deadlines. 
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and deliverables 
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including interpersonal skills.
