THE ROLE
A key member of the Scape technology leadership team, the role of the Service Desk Manager is to establish a culture of efficiency, accountability, and transparency in IT Operations.
You will ensure IT services are reliable, end users are fully supported, set benchmarks for monitoring and improvement, and work with the business owners of IT services to continuously improve our environment.
You will be a hands on and technical, and in this role, you will lead a small team covering both Support and Systems Administration covering not only our corporate environment, but also systems and services that ensure the successful operation of our properties.
You will contribute to the development and execution of the IT Operations strategy and ensure the alignment with the enterprise's IT and business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are seeking a motivated individual, with big ideas and a passion for efficiency and business improvement.
You will also have:
- Ability to fix gaps in existing capabilities and provide proven strategies to improve efficiency.
- Demonstrated Technical Ability, with an understanding that this is a technical role.
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management
- Essential knowledge of IT security controls and Information Security including patch management, vulnerability management and end user compute.
- General knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure design, networking technologies and IT best practice guidelines.
- Experience implementing service delivery/support processes, 24 x 7 support
- Excellent facilitation skills and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and consultative skills
