Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) provides core technology solutions and services as part of the Information and Technologies Branch. Our shared focus is on making everything we do; simpler, easier and better through our business enabling approach and measurable outcomes.
The ETS team is dedicated to working in partnership to achieve shared goals whilst fostering a collaborative, agile and positive culture.

The Opportunity:
The Director, ICT Support Services enables foundational functions and services with a focus on Programme/Project Delivery, IT Service Management and Monitoring/Reporting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide the strategic leadership required to create a shared understanding and commitment to achieve organisational goals and objectives and encourage a culture of customer service.
  • Provide high level quality advice to senior management, influencing the effectiveness of the department's business processes and ensuring the efficient and effective management and delivery of the ICT platform and associated services for the department.
  • Establish and promote the overall vision and direction for ICT within the department, working with stakeholders and suppliers and identifying industry developments that create strategic opportunities for the department.
  • Lead and manage the delivery of the unit's program of work by monitoring, evaluating and reporting on outputs, service delivery and performance, utilising change management when appropriate.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the ICT Platform through analysis and interpretation of customer satisfaction and operational data relating to achievement of performance targets, customer service standards and cost effective and efficient ICT support services.
  • Ensure that the unit business plans are aligned with branch, department and whole of Government policies and strategies and provide input into ICT strategic and operational plans and the department's strategy for corporate governance.

Our ideal candidate would possess:

  • Proven experience in Project, Programme and IT Service Management - leveraging this expertise to deliver successful outcomes.
  • A self motivated people leader with a successful history of leading at an enterprise scale - high communication and transparency.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record as a change agent, adept at driving transformation in complex environments and fostering a confident and capable workforce.
  • Well evolved engagement and relationship management capabilities with a focus on maintaining excellence in service delivery within a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Demonstrate skill and expertise in driving continuous improvement initiatives, with a strong focus on fostering a culture of growth and development.
  • Experience within sectors/organisations that focus on delivering measurable value to our communities is advantageous.
