The Project includes the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of three new bucket-wheel reclaimers including associated structural, mechanical, electrical and communications services.
Also included is the design and construction of associated off-board scope including bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, structural works and electrical upgrades to support the functionally safe operation of the new reclaimers.
Job Summary:As Civil Supervisor, you will be assigned to a field construction organization in a supervisory capacity within an EPCM team, and be responsible for supervising and directing operations.
This role supervises works contractor activities and others, as assigned, ensuring assigned construction operations and works contractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
Major Responsibilities:- Responsible for field construction operations within assigned discipline or area.
- Determines workforce requirements, and schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by works contractors.
- Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
- Prepares reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecast.
- Monitors the activities of works contractors to ensure compliance with safety, specifications and schedules.
- Performs employee reviews and identifies training and development opportunities for subordinate personnel.
- Other responsibilities as designated.
- A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, or
- Specialized courses in construction technology and management, and/or
- Prior practical work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above.
- Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation.
- Knowledge of the Six Sigma program tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities with demonstrated leadership in a team environment.
- Knowledge of the use of contracts, and the works contractor’s responsibilities contained in contract documents.
- Experience working with, supervising and administering works contractors in an EPCM environment.
Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
