Project Engineer

Rob Carr Pty Ltd is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join our operations team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
- Trenches
- Shafts
- Concrete structures
- Civil structures
- Infrastructure
- Water, wastewater, and stormwater
- Pipeline construction
- Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities
- Ensuring projects are implemented according to plans, designs, and specifications
- Assisting the Construction Manager and Site Supervisor in developing daily programmes
- Ensuring compliance with client requirements and company policies and procedures
- Procuring required materials and equipment for the project
- Monitoring construction progress to ensure adherence to quality specifications
- Assisting with contractual claims (variations, extensions of time)
- Contributing to monthly project reporting
The successful applicant must have the following skills and experience:
- Experience working with a blue-collar workforce
- Experience delivering construction projects
- Exposure to preparation of contractual claims and variations
- Ideally, micro-tunneling experience (although not essential)
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent
- Experience working on water and/or wastewater projects
- Strong leadership skills
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing safety and environmental controls
- Strong written and oral communication skills with experience compiling reports and liaising with stakeholders
