General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management)
Are you an experienced and highly capable Business Manager looking to play a pivotal role in overseeing business operations and financial functions?

About You
You’re an experienced Business Manager who will bring extensive experience to the role, where you’ll be responsible for optimising project efficiency, managing resources effectively, and ensuring business profitability.
You are at the top of your game and are ready to test your Business Management skills in a new environment. You describe yourself as a go-getter, someone who is not afraid of hard work and has the ability to get in and get on with it.
Your relationship management skills will help to foster strong relationships with the design team, clients and other partners.
Experienced in strategic planning, you’ll develop and implement strategic planning to drive business growth. You have successfully driven strategic initiatives in past work environments and thrive under pressure. We operate on billable hours and this role requires someone who can motivate the team to consistently hit their weekly targets without necessarily micro-managing them.
You are a natural born leader, able to work with a variety of personalities and aren’t the kind of person to shy away from a challenge.
Your Responsibilities
- Implement and manage new project management system, including developing and managing budgets, monitoring project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget completion
- Identify gaps in reporting and create new reporting methods to fully automate the business
- Oversee invoicing and collection of payments from clients
- Work closely with the team to allocate resources efficiently
- Monitor and identify team KPIs and regular reporting
- Manage and nurture client relationships
- Financial Management, including developing and monitoring budgets, implementing cost-control measures and analysing financial data
- Develop strategic plans and objectives for business growth
- Prepare financial reports and analyse financial data
- Establish performance metrics and benchmarks
- Review Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and conduct performance evaluations
Your Skills and Attributes
- Bachelor of Business Management or relevant proven experience
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and project costing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills
- Experience in Design or Creative Services environment
- Proficiency in project management tools and software applications for resource planning, time tracking, project management and invoicing
- Creative problem-solver and a proactive approach to addressing challenging situations
