About the Role:
We are seeking a Head of Operations based in Melbourne to oversee the efficiency and effectiveness of our operational departments (i.e., pre-delivery, field service, warehouse, and parts) nationwide.
You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, ensuring operational targets are met, and enhancing customer satisfaction across all operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a continuous improvement agenda in collaboration with the Managing Director and Sales Manager.
- Manage and develop a high-performance team to achieve KPIs and foster a unified culture.
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Optimise systems and processes (procurement, stock, logistics, HR) to meet company objectives and customer demands.
- Drive supplier negotiations and performance evaluation.
- Maintain high standards through quality assurance initiatives.
- Align operational procedures with organisational goals and adjust budgets for profitability.
- Analyse performance metrics for operational excellence.
- Promote a culture of safety and compliance.
- Manage recruitment, training, and development of department personnel.
- Enhance customer experience to differentiate Conquest in the market.
About You:
- Formal qualification in management, business, or related field (desirable).
- Minimum 5 years in a similar senior operations management role.
- Strong background in procurement, logistics, HR, and internal communications.
- Demonstrated leadership in national operations with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Proven track record in cost center management and reporting.
- Expertise in recruitment, training, performance management, safety, and staff development.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g., Advance Business Manager).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, time management, and planning skills.
- Commitment to high-level customer service and business relationship management.
