Our client, HumanAbility, is a not-for-profit, industry owned and led organisation that is contracted by the federal government. It was established as a Jobs and Skills Council for the health, human services, sport & recreation, and early childhood industries to fulfil the requirements of the Jobs & Skills Councils, Strengthening Australia’s National Vocational Education and Training System program.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Communications Adviser to oversee communication outputs for the team's activity-based funding projects. With a focus on project communications, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing communication plans whilst managing a range of contractors, some of whom include graphic designers, desktop publishers, videographers, and website developers, all while ensuring high quality and consistent communications across all projects.
This role will link into existing HumanAbility channels and editorial processes to promote engagement opportunities for stakeholders within these projects. You will partner with Project Managers and the Communications Director to understand and manage goals and timelines, while ensuring a timely delivery of communication materials.
Some Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive communications plans and advise on contemporary communication approaches.
- Create and distribute project-related content (website pages, reports, newsletters, press releases, social media updates).
- Manage relationships with external contractors and ensure that contractor output aligns with project objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance stakeholder communication and boost stakeholder engagement.
- Draft, edit, and proofread clear, accurate, and consistent communication materials, taking into account stakeholder feedback.
- Develop multimedia content to enhance communication efforts, while ensuring content accessibility for diverse audiences.
- Manage HumanAbility’s digital channels, including the website and social media.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms whilst ensuring communication efforts are tracked and measured
