The Role
Our Pre-Delivery Team are seeking to engage an experienced Project Manager to commence employment on this long-term program of works across western Sydney critical water and wastewater infrastructure.
As the Project Manager you and your team will have an active role in the planning of new projects, from providing technical input into concept and detailed design through to development of construction methodologies, programme of works, risk and opportunity schedules and submission of the Total of Prices" and "This customer focused role is responsible for planning and developing projects for Stage 2 delivery to our client (Sydney Water).
The primary purpose of the role is to accurately and timely deliver concurrent projects within Stage 1 project development in line with safety, quality, environmental, schedule, budget and scope objectives.
As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following;
- Strong and effective leadership and mentoring skills
- Effectively and professionally manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Internal and external project reporting
- Commercial management, including preparation of claims, variations and extensions of time
- Ensure activities are carried out in accordance with the company’s safety, quality assurance & environmental management system
- Ability to manage all phases of large, complex, turnkey construction projects
- Contract management, planning and financial management experience
- Manage internal field and subcontractor resources
- Coordinate deliverables to achieve project time and budget objectives
- Manage numerous projects within the program of works concurrently
What you will need
You will ideally have extensive experience in the water utilities sector. You will have;
- A degree level qualification in Engineering or Project Management (or similar)
- Sound experience in a Project Management role
- Experience on construction projects in water infrastructure/Water Treatment Plants/Networks
- A good understanding of control systems
- Experience with design management and project planning
- Knowledge of project financial management, forecasting, procurement, design and contracts management functions
- An understanding of NEC4 will be an advantage
- A strong safety focus
- An affinity for continuous improvement and innovation, applying learnings to ‘real world’ project delivery environments

This role will be based within the Western Sydney area.
