What does the job look like?

The Despatch Coordinator is tasked with the effective and efficient management of assets and loads to meet customer demand. This role demands a systematic approach and meticulous attention to detail to ensure the job is completed correctly the first time, every time. The ideal candidate must be technologically proficient, capable of working across multiple systems simultaneously, with a strong understanding of their integration and how they generate revenue for BevChain and compensate our contractors. This permanent role will be operating Monday – Friday, 5am – 1:30pm. Key areas:

• Support all driver activities and manage unexpected absences to minimise customer disruptions
• Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external, to enhance and support the operational success of the organisation
• Maintain regular communication with drivers and the customer to ensure delivery deadlines are consistently met
• Coordinate and track all necessary documentation and paperwork including manifests, run sheets, con notes etc
• Facilitate a smooth transition to the next shift and communicate schedules to customers
• Monitor shift operations to ensure adherence to planned schedules, intervening with additional resources if needed.
• Generate shift transition reports to identify any issues or escalations.
• Undertake miscellaneous administrative tasks as required monitoring KPIs for performance and COR
• Adhere to Linfox requirements, policies, and procedures, including the WHS Management system

Are you the one?

This position is pivotal to the site's operations, demanding a supportive individual with strong administrative capabilities, excellent communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail. A solid comprehension of the logistics and transport sector is essential, along with an enthusiastic and proactive mindset. You can demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a despatch position in Transport is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, alongside robust organisational and administrative abilities
• Capability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritise tasks, strong time management skills will be required
• Proficiency in MS Office and any other WMS or TMS systems will be highly regarded
