We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to deliver power system modelling works on major Power Systems projects. This is an owners team position based in Perth CBD, offering an 8-month contract from Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week.

You will be responsible for working across various packages and ensuring that power system modelling works are delivered to scope, optimum performance, schedule, and cost. Collaboration with other teams is essential to deliver required power system outputs to meet the needs of all stakeholders. Additionally, you will develop, tune, validate, and verify models in DigSILENT and PSCAD, as well as prepare appropriate reports to document the studies.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Performing detailed power system analysis of generation, transmission, and distribution networks
  2. Specifying and providing technical input for the selection of electrical equipment and schemes
  3. Establishing and continuously updating technical documents
  4. Integrating vendor models and field data into a fully functional system model
  5. Designing and documenting for power system modelling
  6. Validating power system models
Your Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Power system modelling experience
  • Experience in the use of DigSILENT
  • Good understanding of power system fundamentals
  • Strong scripting and coding skills
  • Flexibility in working on multiple tasks and managing workload, demonstrating well-developed time management skills
