The Senior Finance Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible and accountable for playing a key role in driving the successful use of amaysim’s Business Intelligence systems and tools for the Finance team to enable effective month end and quarterly financial reporting and business insights for forecasting and budgeting purposes. This includes correct reporting of revenue recognition and cost amortisation in accordance with Accounting standards.
Your day in the life at amaysim
- Acting as an engagement conduit of data and reporting on behalf of Finance team
- Developing detailed and digitalised reports to support month end, forecasting and budgeting process including commissions reporting, data banking utilisation and analysis and revenue recognition in accordance with Accounting standards
- Provide insightful advice to amaysim Finance on data, analytic principles, analytic strategies, system and processes
- Translating business and Finance relevant questions to data and analysis requirements; carry out analysis, visualisation and presentation
- Proactively perform ad-hoc analysis to solve business problems and support decisions and reporting for the Finance team
What makes you perfect for the role?
- Data Analytics, Data science, Business Analytics particularly in an organisation that has a subscription customer base and digital marketing optimisation or with a supplier that works with such a client
- Tertiary qualification in computer science, business or related discipline
- Experienced in finance report and revenue recognition development
- Data Wrangling: demonstrated experience in end-to-end data analysis solution
- Stakeholder management, being able to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve high quality deliverables driven by data
- High attention to detail for data integrity and ability to track down data inconsistencies
