Kingston Building is a multi-award-winning builder and a leader within the construction industry, undertaking projects in Newcastle, the Central Coast, the Mid-North & North Coast Regions as well as the Hunter Valley. 

This Construction Project Manager role involves ensuring the successful delivery of commercial, residential, retail, and industrial projects, whilst focusing on safety, time, cost, and quality. 

Preferred candidate is to have experience delivering a variety of construction projects ranging from fast paced fit outs through to new build developments. The majority of projects delivered are in the $1M - $10M range.

The role is Newcastle based and offers an attractive salary package. 

The position is available as either full-time employment or a contract utilising your own ABN.

As a Project Manager at Kingston Building, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our projects. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and implementing overall project delivery plan.
  • Taking total ownership of safety, financial results, time and quality outcomes of the project, customer, and team satisfaction.
  • Developing, maintaining, and implementing project specific plans in accordance with Kingston’s Integrated Management System. 
  • Developing a sound understanding of Contract and Statutory conditions relevant to Projects and communicating this to site personnel.
  • Representing the company for all activities with respect to the project.
  • Committing to, and leading, a safe work environment for the project which is free of incident, injury, or damage to the environment. 
  • Ensuring compliance with the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry at all times.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key project stakeholders.

To be considered for the position of Project Manager, you will require the following:

  • Have a tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong work ethic and team player.
  • Have experience working in a Project Manager role for a reputable Head Contractor.
  • Have broad experience across the delivery of new build, refurbishment, and fit-out projects.
  • Have demonstrated experience in the delivery of projects up to $10 million

While the above requirements are essential, the following skills are highly regarded:

  • Experience with Sage Construction Software.
  • Proficient experience with MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Experience with Microsoft Projects.
