What You'll Be Doing- Configuration and Strategy Execution: Translate cross functional strategic objectives into practical configuration plans across key parts of our digital platforms; showcasing our product range to customers in the most productive ways
- Personalisation and segmentation: Implement unique customer experiences by configuring and tuning algorithms based on customer, pet, and product attributes
- Continuous improvement: Look for and find opportunities for growth, executing website changes according to policy and managing key cross functional engagement processes
- Innovation: Champion novel opportunities and capabilities as the arise, for example experimenting AI and ML use cases for business and process improvement
- A/B testing: Design and run controlled experiments that relate to product merchandising to optimise performance and build our understanding of the value associated with our digital assets and digital real estate
- Digital performance: End to end ownership of a weekly business review process for the website and app, managing multiple data sources to track and analyse performance highlighting key business drivers across customer, category, and pet performance
- Business partner: Work closely with technical specialists that depend on website and app configuration for ongoing impact, ensuring requirements for configuration are built for scale
- Expert knowledge of how our website performs, its strengths and weaknesses, and most importantly the opportunities for innovation and growth
- Consistent achievement of trading outcomes with a lens on website and app performance, including meeting targets for key business drivers and executing cross-functional policies
- Creation of a trusted ‘run’ function for our digital assets that is understood across all functions, continuously enhancing customer engagement and satisfaction across our value propositions
- Generation and adoption of IP throughout the business, which might include leveraging the value of digital assets to make informed business decisions or implementation of automated processes in the life of a Category Manager
- Command of data using multiple sources and integrating them into insightful, actionable dashboards or visualisations
- Ability to breakdown high level problems into smaller pieces and develop input metrics to track progress toward an outcomeLeadership with end to end responsibility of a website or marketing channel and the ability to transform high level company targets into strategic objectives and plansInherent curiosity and constant motivation to uncover opportunities, learn more about drivers of performance, and try new and creative approaches to problem solving
- Communication skills across formats (including verbal, written and presentation skills), especially with respect to analytically driven insights and actions
- Cross functional stakeholder management skills to balance company level priorities alongside functional or domain objectives
- Ability to innovate and drive change within an organisation or function
- Management of website metrics and configuration levers in a retail ecommerce environment
- Responsibility for data driven experimentation design and execution across digital assets in the confines of driving to a strategic goal or outcome
- Cross-functional stakeholder management including executive leadership, presenting data driven insights clearly and confidently
- Demonstrated usage of multiple data sources (e.g. Fullstory, Google Analytics, BigQuery, Looker)Demonstrated usage of third party configuration tools, e.g. search and browse providers or website platforms (e.g. Shopify, Commercetools, Fullstory)
- Strong analytical capability. This could be learned on the job or through a Bachelor's degree {or tertiary learning} in an analytical field (e.g. Maths, Statistics, Engineering, Data..)
- Experience operating, analysing, and improving e-commerce / website performance is highly desirable
- Experience using website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Amplitude, Shopify and/or CommerceTools)
- Experience in presenting complex data through insightful, user friendly ways; experience with data visualisation tools preferred (e.g. Looker, Tableau, PowerBI)
Role Location
At Pet Circle we believe that collaboration and team connection is key for success. This role will be based in Sydney with a blended working arrangement of up to 4 days per week in our pet friendly CBD offices and the remainder working from home (or the office, if you prefer)
