Our client, a major EPCM company in the Mining Industry, is looking for aSenior Electrical Engineer to work on an initial 12-month contract inPerth, WA.
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for process plant modifications, non-process infrastructure, and power distribution. You will evaluate and recommend appropriate electrical equipment solutions, design specifications for mining systems, and create engineering documentation such as technical drawings and scope of work. You may also have the opportunity to contribute to strategic business planning and provide recommendations to optimize commercial outcomes.
Main requirements :
- Provide technical expertise and advice throughout all stages of the project.
- Carry out technical evaluations and recommend appropriate electrical equipment solutions.
- Design specifications for mining systems, including HV/LV distribution and controls.
- Create engineering documentation such as technical drawings and scope of work.
- Review and modify design documentation such as schematics, single-line diagrams & layouts.
- Support strategic business planning and make recommendations to optimize commercial outcomes.
- Ensure we meet contractual requirements, manage risks, and maintain high standards.
- Electrical Engineering Degree qualified.
- Engineering design experience.
- Detailed engineering design background
- Mining process plant experience (MCC, VSD, Motors, Cables).
- Low & Medium Voltage
- Power Factory modeling is advantageous.
- 7+ Years of experience within the process industry
- Able to communicate well and interact with others.
- Adaptable and Flexible personality
