We integrate a complete range of thermal and sustainable fuel sources, together with innovative technologies, to deliver cost-effective and reliable solutions for clients across Australia.Join Zenith to build or operate hybrid renewable energy projects, involving Solar, Wind, Thermal Energy Generation and LNG storage in Western Australia.About the roleAs part of Zenith's in-house Engineering Team, the Senior Electrical Engineer will contribute to design, installation, commissioning and operation of Hybrid (renewable and thermal) Power Station projects. Your main responsibilities will include:Assist with preliminary power system design including specification of switchboards, transformers and power conversion systems.Analysis of HV and LV distribution, control, protection, metering and earthing systems.Detailed design integration of solar arrays, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Thermal generation and Wind Turbines.Cable sizing and selectionDocumentation of design and calculations.Development of test and commissioning plans and procedures.Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to issues with existing power generations and distribution assets.About YouAs the Senior Electrical Engineer you will have the following experience, knowledge, and skills to bring to the role.Experience:8 years plus in electrical engineering design, desirably Power Station design.Development of electrical standard, processes and procedures.Engineering, design and selection of Medium and Low Voltage electrical equipment.Engineering execution and delivery of large power system - based projects including power generation, control and Inverter based technology.General knowledge of Protection Systems.PLC and Protection relay experience desirable.Knowledge/Skills/Ability:HV Distribution and Switchboard design for Power Generation and Distribution Systems.Designing and creating specifications for Medium and Low Voltage Systems.Knowledge of LV Electrical motors and drives.Reviewing and approving the work of other engineers.Liaising with Vendors and other project functions.Supporting the construction team for their technical requirements and queries on site.Reviewing and approving Factor Site acceptance testing on electrical equipment.Ability to develop control designs and select equipment suitable for work packages.Strong understanding of current Australian Standards for Electrical installations including AS 2067, AS 3000 and AS 5033Qualifications and Clearances:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical EngineeringAbility to pass a National Police ClearanceClearance and Pre-employment MedicalRight to work in Australia is essentialWhy ZenithYou will work for a market leader with strong projected growth and a company that values and celebrates their people.
