Full Job DescriptionAbout the role At Ventia we are passionate about drivingsustainability and managing climate resilience for us and our clients.Hence, we are seeking a Climate Lead to lead the development andimplementation of Ventia's Credible Transition Plan. This plan willseek to achieve our science-based targets and progress as well asintegrate our climate risk and opportunity management to support valuecreation and differentiation for Ventia. We are offering: Anopportunity to make a genuine impact within Ventia's business &stakeholders A role to make your own, with a supportive leader andteam Permanent full-time role, with hybrid working options. Flexibleon location – can be based in Sydney or Melbourne. Duties: Lead thedevelopment and implementation of Ventia's Credible Transition Plan(CTP) Lead Ventia's net zero strategy including ensuring up-to-datetargets, to inform Ventia's enterprise strategy Assess trends andregulatory developments, benchmarking and reporting our progress andopportunities Communicate the CTP and measurement of implementation tostakeholders including Ventia's executive Collaborate withsustainability, operational, finance and supply chain teams inidentification of initiatives, development of business plans,engagement and metrics to achieve the CTP Lead the development ofVentia's Climate disclosures, ensuring alignment with requiredframeworks, best practice and investor expectations Be Ventia'ssubject matter expert in climate scenario analysis and climate riskand opportunity identification and management processes Collaboratewith Group and Sector risk, finance and operational teams to advanceclimate risk management, quantification, resilience, and reportingAbout You Demonstrated strategic capability Strong understanding ofnet-zero & carbon accounting concepts, climate governance frameworksand stakeholder expectations 5-10 years leadership in sustainability /climate risk/ net-zero strategy Strong understanding and demonstratedexperience of TCFD/ climate reporting Degree qualified insustainability, business/economics, or related discipline Strongproject management and analytical skills Diversity Ventia is enrichedby the diverse experiences, talents and cultures that our people bringto the organisation, while celebrating and respecting the communitieswe operate in.
