The Company

Phillip Riley has partnered with a truly exceptional client who are revolutionising their industry, as they look for an Electrical Systems Engineer. The team is at the forefront of the renewables sector, and with ambitious growth plans into 2024/2025, they look set to continue their charge. With a great name in their sector, an experienced management team and a talented group of engineers to learn off, there is no better time to be joining them.

This role will see the successful candidate take a concept right through the systems engineering process using the V&V model. This includes requirements gathering, system architecture, design, integration, verification and validation. This type of project hasn’t been done before, so you will have the opportunity to work on something truly greenfield.

This role will suit an experienced systems engineer with an electrical engineering background, having worked in a product development environment ideally on Industrial applications.

The Role: Electrical Systems Engineer

Location: Easter Suburbs, Perth

Rate: $80 - $100 + Super p/h

Length: 12 Months, 5/2 Roster

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Likely to have 5+ years of experience in a Systems Engineering role (V&V, DOORS etc)
  • Proven experience as a systems engineer in the design and development of electrical products
  • Familiar with FMEA
  • Experience developing heavy industrial products (Automotive, Defence, EV, Aerospace etc)

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with safety critical systems
  • Systems modelling experience such as Matlab, Simulink, SysML.
  • Experience with project management practices and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA)
