Position Overview:

The Business Application Lead/Manager will be responsible for operational support and the roll-out of hotel application specialists and strategic partners, overseeing the effective management of business applications, operations, and projects. This role will focus on data management, integrations, and system/application operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational support of hotel application specialists and strategic partners.
  • Leading all Property Management System (PMS) migrations by engaging stakeholders and building on key requirements.
  • Supporting projects in end-to-end delivery of in-use applications.
  • Maintaining and leading system configuration standards for hotel systems.
  • Responding to escalations from the business and liaising with the Director of Digital, Data & Technology.
  • Ensuring cross-training of all applications for System Champions.
  • Managing periodic upgrades of core business applications.
  • Providing helpdesk service for software queries within guidelines and SLAs.
  • Monitoring interfaces between systems for accuracy and frequency.
  • Deploying systems effectively to maximize benefits using best practices.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Relevant degree and leadership experience in a small team.
  • Minimum seven years of practical experience in hotel operations and/or IT, preferably within hospitality.
  • Extensive data management and application support experience.
  • Previous experience installing/leading implementation of PMS and/or POS solutions is essential.
  • Experience leading an Applications Support team or similar.
  • Experience with one or more systems: NetSuite, SharePoint Online, M365, Oracle Cloud, ServiceNow, or Jira.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cloud-based (SaaS) business systems.
  • Business Analysis and/or project management experience.
  • Expertise in information systems, integrations, and passion for technology innovation.
  • Proficiency in translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
