Child and Youth Mental Health Service are looking for a Mental Health Clinician (Psychologist/Social Worker/Occupational Therapist) to join their team. CYMHS Acute Response Team provides comprehensive and flexible specialist mental health assessment and liaison service to the Logan Hospital and Redland Hospital Emergency Departments, in regards to children, adolescents and their families/carers in accordance with professional, ethical and National Mental Health Standards, utilising broad, developing clinical experience in the field of child and youth mental health.

About the Role

  • Detailed clinical assessment, patient education, therapeutic intervention and/or management and assistance with discharge planning within an interprofessional context.
  • Clinical education, supervision of observational students and allied health assistants, and assistance with supervision of undergraduate students.
  • Participation and contribution to quality improvement and research activities under the guidance of senior staff.
