About the Role

Working alongside our national team of design leaders within the transport sector, with a particular focus on a large-scale aviation projects, you will have experience and passion for leading a team from design through to delivery. Your role will include:

  • Leading a team on large-scale complex aviation projects
  • Partnering with project teams to understand client needs and liaising with clients and contractors
  • Advising on fees and the engagement of sub-consultants to define work scope and oversee standards and progress of deliverables
  • Providing information on designs, materials and estimated building times
  • Strategically planning projects and monitoring performance and financials with support from the Principal
  • Partnering with clients and management to determine the type, style and size of planned facilities or alterations to existing facilities
  • Preparing high-quality project documentation, ensuring integration of structural, mechanical, and aesthetic elements in final designs
  • Preparing tender and bid responses
  • Managing the delivery of approved technical and design document
  • Playing an active role in network development, knowledge management and operational improvement process initiatives
  • Mentoring and supporting the development of junior employees
  • Complying with the Architectus Management Systems policy and procedures

About You

We look forward to welcoming someone who possess the following:

  • Architectural qualifications to a post-graduate level or equivalent
  • Prior demonstrated experience (circa 10 years) in design and construction environments
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working on aviation and / or other complex transportation projects
  • Proven Revit competency
  • Strong design communication skills
  • Strong business development skills, with a proven track record
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated experience applying the requirements of the BCA / NCC and other relevant standards and consultant reports
