The Organisation:

Join a dynamic government agency committed to creating safe and positive outcomes for their customers. You will be supporting several Directors to help them better understand the performance and results of their areas. This will be an incredible opportunity to gain exposure to a government department in a six-month temporary role. You will not be working excessive hours. This role is initially a temporary position for 6 months. There is a possibility this role will be extended.

The Position:

This role will ultimately require you to take ownership of the month-end activities. You will be responsible for:

  • End-of-month accounting processes including journals, bank reconciliations, and accruals
  • Financial delegations management
  • Disposal and acquisition of fixed assets

Your Profile:

This role will be an ideal opportunity if:

  • Your strong Excel skills will allow you to work with large volumes of data, particularly in managing a huge volume of the bank reconciliations
  • You enjoy being hands-on and have incredibly strong attention to detail.
  • You are used to working in large, complex organisations
  • It is advantageous but not critical that you are CPA/CA qualified
  • You should have very strong Excel skills and ERP systems experience, preferably SAP
