Role Description

As a Senior Designer, you will be responsible for creating, refining, and executing design concepts and delivering high-quality logo, brand and packaging design solutions in collaboration with the Creative Director, Account Director, and wider design and writing team. As a senior member of the design team, your role will involve analysing and challenging the design brief where appropriate, presenting design concepts internally and to clients, and managing your projects efficiently based on approved project budgets and timelines. This is a full-time on-site role based in Surry Hills.

Salary circa $80k + super.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Strong understanding of design principles and industry trends within the food and drink industry
  • 6+ years' proven experience in logo, branding and packaging design, particularly the QSR, alcohol and non-alcoholic drink sectors
  • Excellent visual and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor other designers
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Degree in Graphic Design or related field

Tasks to be performed:

  • Consulting with clients to determine timeframes, budgets and other objectives
  • Analyse client's needs, undertake research and plan presentation material
  • Prepare concepts and illustration or other visual representation of final material
  • Submit designs to clients for approval
  • Client presentations
  • Prepare notes and instructions for finishing artists to assemble and prepare final artwork for printing, display or electronic use
  • Review final layout and suggest changes and improvements through proofing stages
  • Advise on the photography and reproduction of illustrations or other graphics
