THE OPPORTUNITY -

As a self-motivated person with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, reporting to the Capital Accounting Manager you will play a pivotal role within the Assistant Accountant -Capital role.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage the Capex WIP ensuring jobs are analysed for invoicing in line with agreed timelines and budgets, managing the ageing profile of the WIP balance sheet with continuous communication with the Operations and Management Accounting teams.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Review all Capex jobs in the WIP, coordinating with the Operations team for job closure and status/information updates and prepare files for invoicing as per agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Review all Capex jobs for ageing and update accordingly.
  • Preparation of reports to meet financial management & requirements.
  • Manage month end, close processes as required, including accrued income assessments.
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations including analysis, investigating discrepancies, aged balances & any other variances.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Degree in Accounting.
  • Ideally, you would have 2+ years in a similar position.
  • Ability to build rapport and good working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel including Formulas, VLookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
