Process Engineering Manager

Roles and Responsibilities- Lead the Process engineering team in concept principles through to design and engineering
- Lead the review of the existing process engineering practices to understand where, when and how we can improve.
- Ensure process designs meet required safety standards and actively participate in HAZOP studies and design reviews
- Deliver best practice process designs in accordance with project, time, budget and technical requirements
- Develop innovative solutions to complex process and technical problems
- Prepare process deliverables such as process design criteria, process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, piping and instrumentation diagrams, process control philosophies, operating cost estimates and study reports
- Assist with business development activities and the preparation of proposal documentation
- Input to the CAD team to ensure all elements of the design process are incorporated
- Review all CAD team outputs to ensure safety, quality and operation standards are met.
- Degree Qualified in a Engineering field (Chemical Engineering an advantage)
- Strong understanding of the innovation process development strongly desired
- Ability to review and correct drafting and modelling work completed by others
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and exchange necessary information with ease
- Advanced skills with the standard features of the MS Office Suite, including SharePoint
- Ability to mathematically model process scenarios and engage others through the process
- Model process maps to show situational scenarios
- Generate P&ID’s and PFD’s and coach the process engineering team on how to do the same
- Enthusiastic, high level of energy, goal driven and tenacious
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Must have 10 + years process engineering experience in a design and execute environment
- Experience with process supply partners advantageous
- Relevant process plant operational experience
- Experience in CAD design relevant to Process engineering advantageous
- Experience with project management / organisational leadership beneficial
- Experience in working in a fast paced, multi-faceted technology environment
