Seeking a new challenge where you can apply your knowledge and expertise? We are preparing in readiness for a future commercial plant for battery / critical minerals as well as other greenfield and brownfield projects across Queensland and South Australia within the Mineral Processing, Energy and Chemical industries. The greenfield and brownfield projects we’ll be working on involve vanadium, rare earths, high purity alumina, lithium, nickel, and cobalt.

  • Technical leadership to apply knowledge in your field, mentor junior engineers and lead engineering deliverables on a project.
  • High collaboration on projects across all phases of engineering working closely with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Autonomy and ownership in your role, fostering personal and professional growth. 
You will be involved in
  • Entire design lifecycle from concept to detailed design, through to commissioning and handover.
  • Address key technical risks, optimising process design, assisting with oversight of test work programs
  • Prepare technical specifications, engineering scope, and conduct detailed design reviews to produce optimal solutions Equipment sizing calculations, datasheets, mass balance, process design criteria, PID’s, and procurement package development.
  • Process safety including HAZOP, Bow Tie risk assessments and LOPA studies.
  • Finding innovative solutions to complex challenges on projects.
What you can bring
  • Tertiary degree in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy and an applied understanding of engineering fundamentals. 
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Minerals Processing or related industry. 
  • RPEQ.
  • Experience on pre-prefeasibility and feasibility studies, design and construction projects. 
  • Process development, concept and design experience. 
  • Ability to respectfully challenge the status quo, ask questions and find solutions or source the best approach to a problem. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with HAZOP or LOPA facilitation is advantageous but not essential.

The successful candidate should be willing and able to travel to remote sites or interstate as there may be a requirement visit site or other locations on an adhoc basis.
