Energy Storage Integration Engineer

Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Engineering)
Develop detailed designs and plans for the integration of energy storage systems with existing energy infrastructure, including renewable energy sources (solar, wind) and conventional power grids.
Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies to determine the optimal configuration and capacity of energy storage systems.
Technical Implementation:
Lead the installation and integration of energy storage systems, including batteries, inverters, and control systems.
Ensure proper electrical and mechanical connections between energy storage systems and other energy sources or grid infrastructure.
Configure and program energy management systems to optimize the performance and efficiency of integrated energy storage solutions.
System Testing and Commissioning:
Perform comprehensive testing and commissioning of integrated energy storage systems to ensure they meet design specifications and operational requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the testing and commissioning phase.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
Monitor the performance of integrated energy storage systems to ensure optimal operation and efficiency.
Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary adjustments.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of integration processes, including system designs, configurations, testing results, and performance data.
Prepare and submit technical reports on project progress, system performance, and any issues encountered.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
Ensure that all integration activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards associated with energy storage systems.
Customer and Stakeholder Interaction:
Work closely with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored energy storage integration solutions.
Provide training and technical support to clients and end-users on the operation and maintenance of integrated energy storage systems.
Research and Development:
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in energy storage technologies and integration best practices.
Participate in research and development activities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of energy storage integration solutions.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in the integration of energy storage systems, including battery technologies and energy management systems.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of electrical systems, battery technologies, and energy management software.
Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
Knowledge of relevant codes and standards
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Preferred Skills:
Certifications in energy management or system integration.
Experience with renewable energy systems, particularly solar and wind energy.
Familiarity with smart grid technologies and demand response systems.
The positions are available across Australia in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.
