About the role

About the role:The Principal Project Officer will drive a range of strategic projects and initiatives in support of the Manager of the Data Collections team in the conduct of the Victorian Cost Data Collection (VCDC) on a broad range of issues, initiatives, and projects.

This position:

  • Provides high level organisational and strategic support and will lead VCDC data collection and improvement priorities and opportunities.
  • Leads the provision of well-informed advice, stakeholder engagement and alignment of key strategic priorities across the VCDC.
  • Provides key analytical support and advice on implications to the VCDC as well as the National Hospital Cost Data Collection (NHCDC)
  • Is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submissions to the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority and providing advice to this body on costing related issues of concern to Victoria
  • Leads and manages costing studies related to delivery of services for specific programs, with the focus of the team varying over time as priorities change.
