Project Scheduler and Support Officer

The Airborne Surveillance Control & Intelligence Systems Program Office (ASCISPO), located at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW, and RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA, is responsible for sustainment and major capability upgrades for Air Force's fleet of E-7A Wedgetail and MC-55A Peregrine systems. The role currently supports Project AIR5077 Phase 6, focusing on obsolescence treatment for the E-7A Wedgetail fleet until its planned withdrawal date. It will later transition to the AIR7002 Wedgetail replacement project, collaborating with the United States Air Force to introduce the Advanced E-7.
The position involves:
- Managing and supervising all project scheduling, providing critical expert advice and assistance
- Using initiative and experience to analyze, plan, review, and adjust priorities and work activities to meet business outcomes
- Undertaking objective, systematic analysis; drawing accurate conclusions based on evidence, and providing detailed technical, operational, professional, and procedural advice for complex activities
- Engaging with stakeholders and managing stakeholders' expectations to deliver agreed project outcomes

ASCISPO is situated at RAAF Base Williamtown in the picturesque Port Stephens region, offering flexible working conditions, including work-from-home arrangements, to support work-life balance. The remuneration package includes a generous superannuation contribution of 15.4%. Defence provides relocation assistance to eligible APS employees required to relocate, with the level of assistance varying based on individual circumstances.

- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and deliver in a timely manner
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including clear and confident communication, both orally and in writing
- Initiative in working with limited supervision while engaging multiple stakeholders to achieve project outputs
- Ability to deliver, plan, and support Project Management activities through experience in scheduling
- Financial acumen and an interest in career development and training to become highly effective in the short to medium term
This position requires access to US export-controlled material. Applicants will be asked to disclose any dual citizenship with another country during the recruitment process.
