The expansion of Ampcontrol has created a unique opportunity for a customer-centric operational leader to drive the performance, and strategic growth of our Power Control Solutions team.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Business Manager will play a pivotal role in leading this exciting portfolio which is a key aspect of the company’s strategic growth agenda.
Key responsibilities:
This role provides operational and strategic leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of employees, is accountable for P&L, profitable and sustainable growth and ensures the safe, cost-effective, and high- quality delivery of product and services dedicated the Power Control Energy Markets.
Responsibilities and deliverables:
- Establish, monitor, and report performance indicators on the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery with reference to schedule and costs against forecast to completion and budget by project.
- Identify, mitigate and manage commercial risks through the project lifecycle.
- Undertake periodic review and take appropriate action to meet and or exceed financial targets.
- Ensure team effectively manage deliverables to achieve expected margins, schedule and quality.
- Focus on positive and effective inter-organisation collaboration, including with the wider Ampcontrol Group
- Develop and execute plans to support the above as well as sustainable growth.
- Managing workforce planning and resource solutions initiatives
- Delivering strategic growth of the PCS operations
- Leading and developing the team to play pivotal roles in performance, growth and expansion.
- Championing systemic business improvement and integration activities
ABOUT YOU:
- 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role with relevant industry experience (preferably within the Energy Industry)
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex high value project portfolios with accountability for contract and client management.
- Proven experience / ability to lead and engage cross functional teams in a service delivery / manufacturing / project environment.
- Financial literacy and ability to interpret financial/operational data and work to budgetary constraints.
- Proven ability to manage customer expectations and relationships delivering growth.
- Aptitude to drive business/operational system improvements.
- A degree of mechanical/machinery technical aptitude and/or knowledge
