Bindaree Food Group (BFG) is a vertically integrated supply chain business delivering global meat solutions both domestically and internationally and has solidified its position as a prominent leader in the Australian meat industry.

The Warehouse Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with the Planning, Logistics and Quality Teams, leading and driving performance within a small team of dockhands and forklift drivers to ensure accurate load in / out of products (truck and container) and inventory management.

Job Description

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Promoting and taking action to embed a high-performance team culture including a proactive approach to Safety, Quality and Customer Service
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Warehouse team members to ensure the team achieves high levels of excellence
  • Collaboratively promote and contribute to a range of key performance criteria e.g. quality control, efficiency and continuous improvement strategies
  • Ensuring accurate and effective shipment and inventory transaction
  • Managing end to end periodical stock takes

About you:

  • You have prior experience in warehousing in an FMCG/short-shelf-life product environment
  • You hold a current Australian driver’s and forklift licences, high reach forklift experience
  • You’re committed to a safety first culture
  • You’re a natural leader
  • You prefer to get out with the team than be in an office
  • You’re structured but can adapt and apply yourself to the needs of the day
  • You have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Competent with computers and systems
