What we’re looking forWe are seeking a senior member of our data engineering team with 3 – 5 years of relevant experience. As an Analytics Solution Engineer, you will work with a closely-knit team to deliver the next generation of data and analytics platforms.
You will design and build reliable and highly scalable modern data platforms including the use of data lakes and data warehouses across a range of technologies hosted with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
You will work with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS, PostgreSQL and languages like T-SQL, Python and Pyspark.
You will be working with very large datasets, structured and unstructured, designing ETL processes that can cater to real-time environments.
Your technology expertise and experience must include:
- Business analysis, data profiling experience
- Data modelling: 3+ years’ experience with traditional RDBMS including the design of star-schema data marts, performance tuning and configuration.
- Data integration 3+ years’ experience designing and delivering data integration (ETL) solutions using a variety of different solutions, which could include SSIS, Alteryx, Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, and similar technologies.
Your technology expertise and experience will ideally include:
- Experience in data analysis and BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, Quick Sight
- Experience working with AWS and Azure infrastructure
- Exposure to advanced analytics applications, with the ability to program in Python and/or
Personal attributes:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to present technical solutions concisely to a range of client stakeholders
- Open to learning new technologies and passion for diving into technical issues and solving customer problems
- Demonstrated critical thinking (scientific method) and advanced troubleshooting skills and qualities
- Strong task/deliverable management skills, able to work on multiple tasks/deliverables simultaneously and report to your project teams on progression against tasks
Ideally you will have a relevant Masters degree and experience working for leading technology consulting firms. You have experienced what it is like working for a big company: at first the structure was informative, now its limiting.
