The Solution Architect is responsible for the definition and delivery of Architecture and Design deliverables based on Business requirements and the Conceptual solution architecture. It will also lead specification and detailed design of the platform architecture to meet defined business needs.

This role will provide technical leadership and direction to designers and developers and lead the identification and implementation of solution components to ensure they are designed according to the conceptual architecture, strategies, policies, standard and practices and that existing and planned solution components remain compatible and supportable.

Significant experience designing and developing solutions using the following technologies and skillsets:

  • AWS Infrastructure and Services
  • Azure Services
  • SalesForce CRM
  • Integration with enterprise SaaS Platforms
  • Systems design experience, with the ability to architect or explain complex systems interactions including data flows, common interfaces, APIs and other methods
  • Broad system design and architecture skills with the ability to architect or explain complex systems interactions including data flows, common interfaces, APIs and infrastructure

Key accountabilities:

  • Co-ordinate design activities, promoting the discipline to ensure solution consistency. Evaluate new services, vendors, applications and security tools from a solution perspective and architectural suitability.
  • Document data flows of information within the organization with the aim to derive system flows.
  • Provide guidance on the development of solution components to ensure they take into account developments and changes in the digital business and threat environments and are secure
  • by design.
  • Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
  • Contribute to the design from Infrastructure environments.
  • Resolve technical problems as they arise.
  • Lead Design elaboration workshops with various vendors.
  • Inform various stakeholders about risks/issues/mitigations linked to individually assigned solutions.
  • Design and deliver complex cross-domain solutions encompassing a rich variety of technologies and using a mixture of agile and planned methods to provide innovative solutions to
  • address clients' needs
  • Accountable for creating and capturing accurate and complete records of the business activities related to this position, in accordance with approved policy and procedures. This is
  • applicable to both hardcopy and electronic information, including email.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills to speak and present in front of senior executives (leadership is of lower priority).
  • Highly developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with strong customer focus and ability to understand issues, manage expectations, gain agreement, resolve conflicts and
  • translate technical information into business language.
  • Experience in enterprise application systems analysis and development, including: analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation and support with a thorough
  • understanding of the Service Delivery Lifecycle.

Qualifications:

Highly regarded :

  • Bachelors or Masters in IT
  • Relevant experience of at least 5+ years in Leading Solution design or Architecture at one or more major organisations.
  • Certification in TOGAF is a plus
