The Role…

We're on the lookout for an inspiring leader to join our Arnhem family as the General Manager. In this role, you'll oversee the overall management of our business, aligning with the vision set by company directors. Your responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day operations of the team, fostering a positive, enjoyable, and productive Arnhem culture. Serving as the central point of contact between departments including Design, Production, Marketing, Wholesale, Warehouse, In store, and Online, you'll ensure that our brand's creative vision is upheld at every stage, from product concept to product launch. Meeting deadlines and staying within budget are crucial, as is maintaining financial order and effectively communicating budgets with company directors. Your objective will be to collaborate closely with the Creative Director, ensuring that our creative strategies are effectively communicated and executed as well as delivered on time and in full.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide direct Management to Warehouse department, Customer Care and Production.
  • Assist the CEO with management of the creative team
  • Manage the day-to-day team priorities to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Together with the CEO manage collection launches from planning to execution, liaising with the team to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Together with the CEO ensure productivity and team structure reflects company budget strategy
  • Coordinate with finance daily to manage company cashflow
  • Sign off on payroll
  • Approve all outgoing payments
  • Together with the CEO manage company structure and recruitment
  • Together with the CEO lead, motivate and coach the team to ensure productivity, growth and development
  • Create a brand culture that reflects the company vision
  • Set and manage sales and profit budgets as agreed by the Directors
  • Review and approve accounting analysis for budgetary planning and implementation & production efficiency.
  • Review and report sales analysis weekly and monthly
  • Together with the CEO develop, review, update and implement business strategic planning, including sales, financial performance and new product development
  • Together with the CEO, assist the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business
  • Engage with CEO, Finance and Creative Director in broader organisational strategic planning.
  • Oversee key projects, processes and performance reporting
  • Assist in the range decision process based on previous sell through data and retail feedback
  • Manage the production critical path to ensure ranges are delivered in time and in full
  • Review and monitor costing sheets with Production Coordinator
  • Approve all purchase order quantities and retail prices
  • Analyse sales, costs and production planning feeding back strategies to Production Coordinator.
  • Manage production coordinator on COG and margins
  • Set overall timelines and communicate deadlines with Design and Production Team
  • Communicate daily with Warehouse Coordinator to ensure workload is managed and orders are processed with required company deadlines
  • Ensure Customer Care team are managing priorities and customers are being dealt with as per company guidelines and timeframes
  • Manage implementation of any new systems to ensure efficiency 
  • Direct Store Manager on boutique strategies and weekly priorities

  • Ability to multi-task effectively (crucial)
  • Have a passion for sustainability and conscious fashion
  • Experience in Shopify (preferred)
  • Experience in Cin7 inventory management system (preferred)
