Soda Infra has a strong record of developing, owning and operating large-scale submarine infrastructure in the Australasia region, which has provided critical digital gateways to Asia, North America and EMEA.

Over the last five years, the company has amassed a formidable portfolio of submarine infrastructure and – with the latest transcontinental cable project which will connect Sydney, Melbourne (Torquay), Adelaide and Perth (SMAP) – will be approaching $750m of investment.

The Role

We are seeking a Project Manager for a 12-month Fixed Term contract. Join us as we gear up to launch a major project set to transform the backbone of Australia’s digital ecosystem. Key Responsibilities

As the Project Manager, you’ll work within the PMO Team, playing a crucial role in overseeing and driving the successful execution of critical infrastructure projects. You’ll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage resources and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Key duties include:

  • Support in overseeing and managing the design and construction process, ensuring quality and on-budget results
  • Liaise, manage and coordinate equipment providers, subcontractors, technical teams and customers to ensure the quality and efficiency of work
  • Monitor the delivery of projects in line with project documentation, considering scope, quality and safety requirements
  • Conduct regular site visits to check quality and contractor progress, reporting back to key stakeholders
  • Conduct audits, technical inspections and follow quality assurance procedures
  • Build effective relationships and liaise with critical government stakeholders, landowners, contractors, vendors and customers to support project outcomes

About You

  • 2-5 years of proven experience in either a Project Engineer or Project Manager role working within Telecommunications, Utilities, Construction or Resources industries
  • Demonstrated experience working across large infrastructure projects
  • Qualification in Civil Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering (preferred)
  • Valid Drivers C Class Licence (required)
  • Construction White Card (preferred)
  • Solid working knowledge of WH&S requirements
  • Proficient use of design programs such as AutoCAD (preferred)
  • Effective customer relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisation
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, solve problems, manage, and meet deadlines and maintain high quality of work
  • Be involved in infrastructure projects that will prove critical to Australasia’s digital future
