The Opportunity

We are looking for aCivil Supervisorto work closely with our Construction and Site Managers, to be responsible for the successful completion and delivery of civil site works and managing onsite workers, personnel and contractors. You will also interact with other key stakeholders like company clients, CPP management team and staff, the SQE team, subcontractors and suppliers. As an excellent communicator you will act as the interface between stakeholders to ensure key deliverables are met at all times and provide empowering leadership to site teams by mentoring, supporting and consultingwith site staff.

Initially, you will be based on our Williamsdale BESS project, a 250 megawatt (MW) / 500 megawatt-hour (MWh) battery energy storage system (BESS) located south of Canberra.

Please note thattravel on an 11/3 OR 10/4 roster is a requirement of this role if not local to the project.

Desired Skills and Experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and mentor site teams with a focus on outcomes and quality
  • Issue tenders, select, engage and effectively manage onsite sub-contractors
  • Plan, resource, execute and monitor the civil works aspects of projects, driving initiatives to complete projects on time and within budget
  • Ensure the smooth running of civil works and other initiatives through appropriate processes and risk management
  • Manage the site related civil works budgets including monthly reports

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Certificate III or IV in Civil Construction (essential), or tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering will be highly regarded
  • Strong people skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate people at all levels
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SQE
  • Knowledge of High Voltage infrastructure industry would be highly regarded
