Technology Governance & Compliance Analyst

At Bank First we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of technology governance, risk management, and compliance to protect our clients and our business. Our team is composed of forward-thinking professionals passionate about ensuring the security and integrity of our technological operations. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Technology Governance & Risk Compliance Analyst to join our dynamic team.
You will be responsible for the first-line cyber security activities in the areas of security governance, risk & compliance, security design & advisory, vulnerability management, and management of Business and Technology stakeholder relationship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Governance Specialist to support regular review and update of security risks, issues, and associated controls library in line with Bank First’s Risk Management Framework
- Assist stakeholders in developing appropriate and timely treatment plans while monitoring and tracking remediation activities within agreed timeframes.
- Perform the evaluation of the security practices of third-party vendors and partners, as well as ensuring that contracts and agreements incorporate security requirements.
- Support the Cyber Security Manager with the regular cyber security governance forums and preparing reports for the Risk and Audit committees up the Board.
- Working closely with the Cyber Security Engineer to uplift the vulnerability management program which includes vulnerability scanning and remediation.
About You
You have a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related field and, ideally, additional Cybersecurity certification (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CISSP). You are highly organised with ability to prioritise and multi-task, as well as able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
You will also have:
- At least 5 years’ experience working in IT audit, IT Risk or Security Governance.
- Experience with security and technology frameworks and standards such as ISO, NIST, COBIT, ITIL, PCI/DSS and CPS 230(x).
- Experience with threat intel and vulnerability management.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
