In this role, you'll:

Work with our Strategy Planning – Data Analytics - Team within the Strategy Investment and Delivery Branch of NSW TrainLink, with a focus on the technical, people leadership and the building of relationships with stakeholder groups.

This role will see you leading a small team of six people, gathering information and interpreting patterns and trends to deliver data analytics solutions that support and influence key decision making that aligns to the strategic goals of the Agency.

You will be involved in the construction of the systems as well as being involved in delivering evidence-based recommendations at an operational and strategic level from these systems. This will see you working with and managing key stakeholder expectations to enable value-add business solutions that are timely, relevant and accurate.

About you

Your tertiary qualification(s) will be in computer science, statistics, operations research, mathematics or a related quantitative discipline combined with relevant experience in predictive modelling and visualisation using R, Python or similar languages.

Your recognised for your ability to analyse and solve complex problems through the likes of predictive analytics and machine learning techniques as well as having the skills to lead a small team involved in providing solutions to determine and improve business outcomes.

In addition to your technical understanding to convert raw data into meaningful insights, you bring people leadership skills to the team, subject matter expertise and the relationship building skills required to work with our stakeholder groups in this role.

This is an Award RC7 Permanent Full-Time role based in Sydney, with consideration for Regional based candidates, with flexibility through our cutting-edge hybrid working model.
