About the role
We are seeking a Network Engineer with minimum NV1 security clearance to be responsible for designing specific network components and ensuring the integrity and performance of our client's network infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate logical designs into physical implementations that meet operational parameters. Success in this role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality network solutions.
This role is based on-site in Adelaide and can be taken as a Contract or Permanent opportunity.
About you
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Design specific network components using agreed architectures, design standards, patterns, and methodology.
- Translate logical designs into physical designs that meet specified operational parameters for capacity and performance.
- Review and verify network designs against non-functional requirements, including validation and error correction procedures.
- Contribute to the development of recovery routines and contingency procedures for network infrastructure.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of alternative network architectures and design options.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum NV1 clearance, ideally NV2 or PV
- A background in Defence or Federal Government highly desirable
- Proficiency in network design and implementation.
- Experience with network architectures, design standards, patterns, and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of non-functional requirements and validation procedures.
- Knowledge of recovery routines and contingency procedures for network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with alternative network architectures and design options.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
