Job Description

Downer is seeking an Injury Management Advisor, based in our Collins Street Office, Melbourne. As an individual working within a high-performing national team you will support Downer's Injury Management process andassist in the day-to-day claims management. This will be achieved through collaboration and ensuring compliance for successful return to work outcomes.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager - Injury Management the role will have several focus areas:

  • Strategic management of injuries and claims portfolio
  • Providing timely support and advice in relation to injury management and return to work
  • Maintaining regular appropriate contact with key stake holders including workers and business representatives
  • Assist with providing coaching and training for line managers, supervisorsand the safety team
  • Payroll processing and payment of weekly payments

ABOUT YOU:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Claims and Injury Management Industry
  • Knowledge of Workers Compensation and Injury Management legislation
  • Allied Health Background highly regarded
  • Development and drive of injury management initiatives
  • High level of analytical and numeracy skills
  • Developing suitable duties/ return to work plans
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Actively contributes to the team
  • Open to learning
