Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst specializing in Privacy & Records Management. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguarding sensitive information, while also harnessing the power of data to enhance business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for data privacy and records management, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct thorough assessments of data handling practices, identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain data governance frameworks.
- Design and optimize SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and analyze data from Teradata and other databases.
- Perform complex data analysis to generate actionable insights that support business banking initiatives.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports and visualizations to stakeholders, highlighting trends and opportunities.
- Act as a subject matter expert on data privacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in data analysis, with a focus on privacy and records management within the financial services industry.
- Must have strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with Teradata or similar databases.
- Solid understanding of data governance principles and practices.
- Ability to communicate complex findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in business banking or related financial sectors is highly desirable.
- Certifications in data privacy (e.g., CIPP) or records management (e.g., CRM) are a plus.
